Cottonwood Valley Charter School offers a rigorous academic program designed to meetthe individual needs of each student while developing habits of success, civic responsibility, and global awareness. The school offers the community a parent-driven public school choice in which teachers, students, and parents are partners. The Del Dios Academy of Arts and Sciencesallows students to become empowered in their education, pursue classes they are most passionate about, and to prepare them for their future endeavors in college, career, and civic life. Their S.T.E.M. pathways aimed at preparing Del Dios Dragons for college, career, and civic life through inquiry, problem solving, and communication in order to make global contributions. Downtown College Prep Alum Rock Middle School, San Jose, CA

Downtown College Prep Alum Rock Middle School (DCP) prepares first-generation students for college-success, and believes every student has the potential to succeed. Through DCP's signature literacy model, blended learning strategies, and college readiness courses, students develop a passion for learning and a college mindset which serves as the foundation of their future path to college. The school has dedicated and experienced staff from the industry and community that are ready to implement and promote a fully functioning STEM lab, but are missing the integral technology and engineering components.

UP Academy Leonard is a neighborhood, district public middle school within Lawrence Public Schools. Through district support and training, UP Academy adopted practices of the highest performing schools in Massachusetts, rapidly establishing a climate of high expectations and student achievement. The state recently designated UP Academy Leonard as a Level One School, the state's highest designation. To live up to high student achievement practices, UP Academy is hoping for a chance to win one of five grants to create a newly-designed, fully-equipped STEM lab.
